As promised to some parents during interviews, here is Mrs. Steeves' handy letter formation information. The following are little "poems" kids can say out loud while they write their letters in order to help them with proper letter formation :)

Number Formation Poems:

Use the following rhymes to help your child properly form the numbers from 1-9!

Go straight down until we're done, now you've made the number one!

Around and back on the railroad track. Two! Two! Two!

Go around, what will it be? Around again to make a three!

Down and across and down once more, now you've made the number 4!

Silly old five goes down and around. Put on a hat, look what you've found!

Down to a loop, six rolls a hoop!

Across the sky and down from heaver, now you've made the number seven!

Make an 's' but do not wait, back on top to make an eight!

A circle and a line, to make the number nine!
